Lt-Gen Amir appointed as Pakistan’s ambassador to Qatar

Lt-Gen (retd) Muhammad Amir has been re-designated as Pakistan’s ambassador to Qatar, after initially being appointed as ambassador to the UAE in August. He replaces Dr. Mohammad Ejaz, who has been reassigned as the ambassador to Belarus.

Ambassador Faisal Tirmazi, who had been moved to Brussels, will continue his role in the UAE. Meanwhile, Marghub Saleem Butt, currently serving at the headquarters, will take over as ambassador to Switzerland.

Shaukat has been transferred to Cairo to replace Ambassador Sajid Iqbal, and Ambassador Imran Chaudhry, returning from Oman, will be succeeded by Naveed Bokhari, who is currently at the National Defence University, Islamabad, attending the National Management Course.
