Lahore to remain cold and dry, rain forecasted for parts of Punjab

With the exception of Lahore, where dry conditions are still present, clouds have gathered over the majority of Punjab, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said on Monday.

Weather experts anticipate light rain and possibly snowfall in the northern areas, Murree, and Rawalpindi division, but Lahore’s sky are still bright.

Lahore is predicted to have temperatures between 8°C to 24°C, while other regions of Punjab can see a minor decrease in temperature as a result of more clouds.

A fresh weather system had earlier arrived in Punjab, bringing clouds and the potential for light rain in a number of districts, including the Pothohar Division, Rawalpindi, and Gujranwala.

While clouds will continue to blanket the region, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) says there is little likelihood of rain in most places, including Lahore.

The lowest recorded temperature in Lahore is 8 degrees Celsius, and the highest temperature is predicted to be 24 degrees Celsius.

Lack of rainfall has caused the city to undergo a relatively dry and cold season, and analysts anticipate that this year’s cold spell will be shorter.

Although there is little likelihood of significant rain, the weather service has warned locals to brace themselves for a chilly day.
