HaHaHouse: Croatia’s unique museum bringing laughter to life

The HaHaHouse, a museum devoted solely to joy and laughing, has been opened to the public in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. This unique venue provides zany and entertaining activities that will help you forget about the stresses of modern life.

Before stepping inside the “giant washing machine,” guests are given a puff of white smoke to dispel their fears. Once inside, they are spun whimsically down a slide into a pool of white balls. They are only at the beginning of their exciting journey.

Andrea Golubic felt a calling to create HaHaHouse during the pandemic to help others via humor. Golubic created 78 captivating displays based on her recollections of boundless laughter in childhood.

The museum has eight different interactive areas, such as a karaoke room where visitors can sing along with warped voices, an inflatable sumo wrestling stadium, and a choir of rubber chickens who sing popular songs. Joan Rivers once said, “I’ve had so much plastic surgery, when I die they will donate my body to Tupperware.” This and other hilarious quotes and films from the history of comedy are showcased in this area.

HaHaHouse cleverly combines lightheartedness with a meaningful message, providing guests with a chance to laugh while also learning about the transformative power of comedy.
