Pakistan and Iran hold joint Naval drills to strengthen cooperation

Pakistan and Iran recently conducted a joint naval exercise, called the Passage Exercise, designed to improve the interoperability of their navies and foster mutual learning through coordinated activities.

The exercise took place during the visit of Pakistan Navy ships Rasadgar and Azmat, along with the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) ship Dasht, to Port Bandar Abbas in Iran. The flotilla was led by Commodore Muhammad Umair, Commander of the 14th Destroyer Squadron.

During the visit, the mission commander engaged with Iranian naval officials, with discussions focusing on shared interests, Navy-to-Navy cooperation, and strengthening maritime security ties.
