Cold and dry weather predicted across most of Pakistan

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast predominantly cold and dry weather across most parts of the country over the next 24 hours, with very cold conditions expected in hilly areas, especially during the morning and night.

Moderate to dense fog is anticipated in patches across various districts of Punjab and upper Sindh, potentially impacting visibility.

Additionally, the PMD predicts rain and windstorms, along with snowfall in mountainous regions of northern and northwestern Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Murree, Galliyat, Islamabad, and the Potohar region.

On Sunday, most areas experienced cold and partly cloudy weather, with isolated rain and snow reported in Balochistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan. Moderate to dense fog persisted in many parts of Punjab and upper Sindh.

Leh recorded the lowest temperature nationwide, dropping to -9 degrees Celsius.
