KP government eliminates son quota in recruitment.

According to ARY News on Tuesday, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has eliminated the son quota system for government employment, putting an end to the practice of employing the offspring of deceased or disabled workers.

The regulations controlling hiring, promotion, and transfers have been modified, per an official announcement. Rule 10’s Clause 2 has been largely eliminated, while Clause 4 has been eliminated entirely. under the past, these provisions permitted the appointment of employees’ children under certain situations.

Under the new policy, children of deceased or disabled government employees would no longer be eligible for government employment.

The action comes after the Punjab government made a similar decision last year, eliminating employment rights by repealing Rule 17-A of the Punjab Civil Servants Act, 1974.
