Balochistan takes action against teachers with unauthorised absences

Balochistan’s Chief Minister, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, has launched a strong initiative to tackle teacher absenteeism in the region’s education sector. As part of this crackdown, 90 teachers in Dera Bugti district have been suspended for persistent absenteeism, according to a provincial government notification.

To ensure thorough accountability, an Inquiry Committee, led by the assistant commissioner of Dera Bugti, will investigate the matter and oversee disciplinary actions against the affected teachers. CM Bugti stressed that no area would be exempt from this initiative, with plans to extend the crackdown across the province to ensure that teachers meet their professional obligations.

“Even in my own constituency of Dera Bugti, I will not tolerate any teacher who neglects their duties,” CM Bugti emphasized, reaffirming his commitment to upholding accountability within the education system.
