Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, inaugurated the country’s first-ever “Made in Pakistan” exhibition in Jeddah, marking a milestone in trade relations with Saudi Arabia. The event showcases top Pakistani industries, including textiles, food products, sports goods, and construction materials, highlighting the nation’s industrial strengths.
Saudi Arabia, with its expanding consumer market and Vision 2030 economic reforms, offers a valuable opportunity for Pakistani businesses. During the three-day exhibition, Jam Kamal Khan underscored the strong ties between the two nations and advocated for joint ventures to explore markets in Africa, Central Asia, and the Far East. The contributions of the 2.7 million-strong Pakistani diaspora in Saudi Arabia were also celebrated for their vital role in fostering bilateral ties.
Featuring 137 companies, the exhibition follows agreements worth $2.8 billion signed between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia during Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s recent visit to Riyadh. The focus remains on collaboration in areas like food security, energy, and mining, aligning with Pakistan’s industrial growth and Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals.
This landmark event signifies a deepening economic partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, opening new doors for cooperation and mutual growth.
