The Green Tourism initiative, supported by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), is working to promote tourism across Pakistan. The aim is to showcase the country’s cultural and natural beauty on both local and international platforms, with a particular emphasis on sports and events as major attractions for tourists.
To further this goal, Green Tourism has partnered with over thirty government departments, creating a collaborative network to enhance Pakistan’s tourism appeal. This initiative focuses on highlighting the country’s stunning landscapes, historical sites, and vibrant cultural events.
In addition, plans are underway to establish a Human Resource Institute to support the development of a skilled workforce within the tourism sector. The institute will offer specialized training and create new job opportunities, aligning with the initiative’s goal of fostering sustainable growth in tourism.
These SIFC-backed efforts reflect a broader vision to position Pakistan as a prominent global tourism destination, while also generating economic opportunities and promoting cultural exchange.
