Art exhibition sheds light on ecological concerns

The art exhibition ‘Be a Catalyst; Reimagining Connection with Gaia – Chapter 2’ by OffGrid Studios recently concluded at Islamabad’s Gallery 6, Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA). This compelling event encouraged visitors to explore diverse perspectives on humanity’s relationship with Earth, focusing on Gaia as a living entity. Romina Khurshid Alam, Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Climate Control and Environmental Coordination, inaugurated the exhibition.

Mariam Ahmed, Director of PNCA’s Visual Arts Division, highlighted the thought-provoking artworks that addressed pressing environmental issues. The 15 participating artists offered unique viewpoints, sparking meaningful discussions about our planet’s current state and paths toward positive change. The exhibition, held in a thriving hub of creativity and innovation, received positive feedback from visitors and artists alike, praising its curation and venue. OffGrid Studios expressed gratitude to PNCA and all collaborators for their support.

Curator Geytee Ara also thanked participants and PNCA’s Visual Arts Division team. The exhibition’s success underscores art’s ability to unite people and inspire dialogue. After a week of showcasing exceptional artwork, the exhibition concluded on July 10, 2024, exceeding expectations with a significant turnout of art enthusiasts, collectors, and community members.
