A severe cold wave has swept across the country, with heavy snowfall impacting northern regions and dense fog blanketing Punjab.
Temperatures in Skardu plunged to -11°C, while Gopis, Astore, and Leh recorded -10°C. Gilgit, Kalam, Bagrot, and Hunza experienced temperatures between -6°C and -7°C. Heavy snowfall in Chitral has disrupted daily life, severing ground access to its upper areas.
In Punjab, dense fog has forced the closure of Motorway M4 between Abdul Hakeem and Multan, and Motorway M5 from Multan to Rohri due to poor visibility.
The Motorway Police have urged citizens to avoid unnecessary travel for safety reasons.
