Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have signed the Annual Hajj Agreement for 2025 to facilitate Pakistani pilgrims.
The agreement was signed by Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, and Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan al-Rabiah, Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, during a formal ceremony.
Under the terms of the agreement, 179,210 Pakistani pilgrims will be able to perform Hajj this year. The agreement ensures that top-notch facilities will be provided to Pakistani pilgrims, including special accommodation in Mina at discounted rates.
The Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah has pledged to offer full support for improved services for Pakistani pilgrims.
Additionally, a new short Hajj program, lasting 20 to 25 days, will be introduced. Pilgrims will have the option to select accommodations in Madinah for four to eight days.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs will also provide specially designed bags featuring the Pakistani flag, identification code, and other essential details for the pilgrims.
Furthermore, Chaudhry Salik Hussain will attend a four-day international Hajj conference and expo organized by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj in Jeddah.
