The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted that hot and dry weather will prevail across most parts of the country over the next 24 hours, with high temperatures expected and little relief in sight.
However, there is a possibility of isolated light rain or thunderstorms in parts of Gilgit-Baltistan and upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa later in the evening or night.
Currently, continental air continues to dominate the region, contributing to the ongoing hot and dry conditions across much of the country.
In the last 24 hours, hot and dry weather was the norm in most areas, with Dadu recording the highest temperature in the country on Thursday, reaching a scorching 45 degrees Celsius.
