Fawad Khan set to return to bollywood with Ridhi Dogra

Fawad Khan is set to make his Bollywood comeback alongside Ridhi Dogra in a romantic comedy, as reported by various Indian media outlets. Sources told the Hindustan Times that the two have been officially cast as love interests, with filming expected to commence by the end of this year. The movie will be shot in locations such as New York and London, but there will be no filming in India. The director’s name has yet to be disclosed, and supporting cast members are still to be announced.

In addition to this project, Khan is also rumored to star with Vaani Kapoor in another film, while he is expected to appear in the upcoming comedy-horror film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, set to release in November. His last Bollywood film was Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in 2016.

Khan mentioned in a recent interview that he maintains a good relationship with Karan Johar and the Kapoor family, indicating that they still stay in touch. This is significant in light of the 2019 ban on Pakistani artists by the All Indian Cine Workers Association following the Pulwama attacks, as well as a previous ban by the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association in 2016. However, the Bombay High Court recently dismissed a petition aimed at banning interactions with Pakistani artists, highlighting a push for cultural harmony. Khan’s return comes amid shifting dynamics in the Indian film industry concerning Pakistani talent.
