Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah declared on Thursday that Israel’s actions would be turned into a “living hell” following a “severe blow” inflicted by detonated communication devices in Lebanon earlier this week.
Speaking in a televised address, Nasrallah addressed the explosions that resulted in 37 deaths and thousands of injuries.
“We acknowledge that we have suffered a significant setback, recognizing Israel’s technological superiority, supported by the U.S., NATO, and the West,” he stated. “The Israeli enemy aimed to kill 5,000 people in just two minutes, showing utter disregard for human life.”
He noted that Hezbollah members use around 4,000 pagers, suggesting that Israel intentionally targeted them.
Nasrallah asserted that “these explosions will be met with just retribution, a severe reckoning, the timing, location, and nature of which we will determine.”
