Babar and bowlers lead stallions to dominant victory over dolphins in champions cup

Babar Azam’s sparkling century and a stellar bowling performance propelled the Stallions to a commanding 174-run victory over the Dolphins in the seventh match of the Champions One-Day Cup at Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad, on Thursday.

Babar Azam’s unbeaten 104 runs, alongside a remarkable collective bowling effort from Jahandad Khan and Mehran Mumtaz—each claiming three wickets—were pivotal to the Stallions’ emphatic win.

After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, the Stallions set a formidable total of 271/7 in their 50 overs. Babar Azam was the standout performer, scoring 104* off 100 balls, including seven fours and three sixes. Yasir Khan provided solid support with 46 runs from 58 balls, while Shan Masood (34) and Tayyab Tahir (33) added crucial contributions at the top. The Dolphins’ bowlers struggled to control the run rate, with Mir Hamza, Faheem Ashraf, and Abbas Afridi taking wickets but conceding runs heavily.
