Pakistan urges UN member states to support Palestinian self-determination

Pakistan has urged UN member states to advocate for Palestinian self-determination and reject any alterations to the status of occupied territories.

In a statement delivered at the 10th Resumed Emergency Special Session of the United Nations General Assembly (ESS) on the Situation in Palestine, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Munir Akram, called for prompt and decisive action to address the enduring injustices faced by the Palestinian people.

He emphasized the importance of recognizing the State of Palestine as a full member of the United Nations and organizing an international conference on Palestine to promote the two-state solution.

Ambassador Munir Akram reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast commitment to supporting the Palestinian quest for freedom, reflecting its own history of achieving independence through self-determination.
