On Sunday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif launched a national initiative to promote organ donation, featuring a special logo on the identity cards of donors.
In his message for International Identity Day, the Prime Minister described organ donation as a “profound act of kindness that can offer a new chance at life to those in need.”
“I urge all citizens to join this initiative and become part of a life-saving community. Those who voluntarily register as organ donors will receive a unique logo on their Computerized National Identity Cards, signifying their commitment to giving the gift of life,” he said.
He emphasized that identity is not just about recognition but also a ,foundation of inclusion representation, and access to essential services.
