Hazlewood, with 822 rating points, moved up one spot to claim the fourth position, while Lyon, boasting 797 rating points, climbed two places to secure the sixth position. India’s Jasprit Bumrah continues to lead the Test bowlers list with 867 rating points.
Hazlewood showcased his skills by taking two wickets in each inning during Australia’s commanding 172-run victory, while Lyon’s exceptional performance resulted in a total of 10 wickets, greatly contributing to Australia’s dominance at the Basin Reserve.
This achievement sees Australia boasting four players positioned among the top 12 in the current Test bowlers rankings. Captain Pat Cummins holds the fifth spot with 811 rating points, while left-arm bowler Mitchell Starc secures the twelfth position, adding to this esteemed quartet.
Starc, with 722 rating points, managed to secure only a single wicket in the mentioned Test, leading to a drop of one position. Consequently, this shift allowed Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi to climb to the 11th place with 733 rating points.
