Jeremy Ware, a 32-year-old from Scottsdale, Arizona, has set a new Guinness World Record by successfully making a blindfolded basketball shot from an impressive 60 feet away.
This accomplishment marks Ware’s third world record. His previous records include the most squats on a Swiss ball in one minute (37) and the farthest backward basketball shot (85 feet, 5 inches).
However, this latest challenge proved to be his toughest yet. Unlike his backward shot, where he could still see the hoop, Ware had to rely entirely on instinct for this blindfolded attempt.
“As far as the backward shot goes, you’re blindfolded but still have a reference point,” Ware told Guinness World Records. “For this challenge, it’s completely dark. You have to trust the process, trust your instincts, and believe the shot will go in.”
Although he recently lost the record for the farthest backward basketball shot, Ware is contemplating a comeback to reclaim the title, further adding to his impressive streak of world records.
