In a video posted on Monday, Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, announced that she has completed her chemotherapy treatment and is now focused on remaining cancer-free.
In the video shared by Kensington Palace, Kate expressed her relief at finishing the treatment, saying, “As summer ends, it’s such a relief to have completed my chemotherapy.”
She reflected on the past nine months, describing them as incredibly challenging for her family. “Life can change in an instant, and we’ve had to navigate these stormy waters and the uncertain road ahead,” she noted.
The video also shows Kate spending time with her husband, Prince William, their children, and her parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, in Norfolk in August.
“Staying cancer-free is now my primary focus. Although I’ve completed chemotherapy, my journey to full recovery is ongoing, and I must continue to take each day as it comes,” Kate explained.
Looking ahead, she expressed eagerness to return to work and resume public engagements when possible. “Despite everything, I’m entering this new phase of recovery with renewed hope and a greater appreciation for life,” she added.
In March, amidst rumors about doctored photos and her limited public appearances, the 42-year-old princess revealed she was undergoing chemotherapy for cancer. She made her first public appearance since her diagnosis in July.
