A new monsoon spell has swept across the country, bringing rain to various cities, including Lahore, where both light and heavy showers have resulted in pleasant weather.
Notable rainfall was recorded in areas such as Abbott Road, Shimla Pahari, Garhi Shahu, and the railway station. Water accumulation in low-lying areas has prompted prompt action from the district administration.
Cities in Punjab, including Sialkot and Sangla Hill, also experienced heavy rain. Additionally, heavy showers in Kallur Kot and Chenab led to flooding in low-lying regions, revealing shortcomings in administrative preparedness.
The Meteorological Department forecasts thunderstorms and heavy rain today in northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Pothohar region, Islamabad, northeastern Punjab, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan, while the rest of the country is expected to remain warm and dry.
