Imran Khan warns NAB officials: ‘I won’t spare you or the NAB chairman once I’m out’

Imran Khan, former Prime Minister and founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), issued a warning to a National Accountability Bureau (NAB) investigator during a Toshakhana case hearing, vowing to take legal action once he is released from custody.

During a court session at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi concerning a new Toshakhana reference, Imran Khan approached NAB investigator Mohsin Haroon and issued a stern threat, as reported by Express News.

“Due to the cases you’ve filed, my wife is in jail. Once I’m out, I won’t spare you or the NAB chairman. I will take you both to court,” Imran declared to Mohsin Haroon, stating his intention to pursue legal action against them as soon as he is freed.

Previously, NAB had contested the decision to grant bail to Imran Khan in the £190 million reference case. The NAB chairman filed an appeal in the Supreme Court, arguing that the Islamabad High Court’s bail decision overlooked crucial facts. On May 15, the Islamabad High Court had granted bail to Imran Khan with a bond set at RS 1 million.

NAB argued that the High Court’s decision was legally flawed and has requested the Supreme Court to overturn it.

Imran Khan’s comments, made in the presence of several individuals, have heightened tensions during the ongoing trial. His ongoing legal battles and his wife Bushra Bibi’s imprisonment have become central themes in his public statements.

Imran Khan has frequently accused NAB of pursuing politically motivated cases against him and his family. His threat to take legal action against NAB officials underscores the growing rift between the former prime minister and state institutions.
