In a meeting of senior military leaders on Tuesday, the Army reaffirmed its dedication to accountability, emphasizing that no individual is above scrutiny. General Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), led the Corps Commanders Conference (CCC) at GHQ.
The forum stressed the Army’s commitment to discipline, professionalism, and loyalty to the state, asserting that its rigorous accountability system leaves no room for exceptions or favoritism.
The meeting discussed strategies to address threats from hostile forces, malicious actors, and subversive proxies, particularly those active in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that the Army, supported by the public, is determined to preserve the hard-won victories against terrorism.
COAS emphasized the importance of a strong legal framework and pledged continued support to the government, law enforcement agencies, and administrative bodies in taking decisive action against terrorists and criminal networks. The forum also highlighted the need for stringent cybersecurity measures to protect national cyberspace.
The CCC expressed solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and condemned the ongoing violence against Palestinians by Israel. The participants paid tribute to the sacrifices of armed forces members, law enforcement personnel, and citizens who have died in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the quest for peace and stability.
The forum reviewed the current geo-strategic environment, national security challenges, and operational responses to emerging threats, expressing confidence in the Army’s readiness and commitment to maintaining professional excellence.
