Two children died and ten, including police, were injured in a Pishin blast.

On Saturday, a blast at a main market near Surkhab Chowk in Balochistan’s Pishin district killed two children and injured ten people, including two policemen, according to a police official.

Pishin City SHO Mujibur Rehman confirmed the casualties and reported that the injured were taken to Pishin Civil Hospital. Four of the injured, including the two policemen, are in critical condition and have been transferred to a hospital in Quetta after receiving first aid.

The blast, apparently caused by explosive material planted in a motorcycle, also damaged three vehicles. The Counter-Terrorism Department and Bomb Disposal Squad have arrived at the scene to gather evidence for an investigation.

Balochistan Government Spokesperson Shahid Rind condemned the terrorist attacks in Pishin and Noshki, expressing regret over the loss of lives. He asserted that anti-society and anti-state elements should not be granted any concessions and that terrorists are targeting innocent people for their malicious objectives.

The spokesperson also directed the provincial health department to ensure the best medical care for those injured in the blast.
