A young man who was reportedly kidnapped from Faisal Town a day earlier was found dead under suspicious circumstances in the Ichhra police precincts.
Initial police reports indicate that Farhan, 18, may have died after falling from a rooftop. Authorities are investigating whether his fall was accidental or if he was pushed.
According to police, Farhan went missing on Monday, and his parents feared he had been kidnapped. The police recovered his vehicle and found evidence suggesting he might have been abducted.
Locals later informed the police that a youth had fallen from a rooftop in Ichhra. The police identified the deceased as Farhan and notified his family. The body was transported to the city morgue for an autopsy, and investigators are seeking footage from city and private cameras to further investigate.
Murder Case In another incident, a woman was allegedly shot dead by her husband in the Barki area on Tuesday. The victim, identified as Sobia, 34, was killed instantly. Her husband, Aftab Ahmad, has been arrested. The police have filed a case based on a complaint from Sobia’s father.
Newborn Found Dead Police recovered the body of a newborn from the canteen of Government Shahdara Teaching Hospital on Tuesday. Hospital employees reported that the baby was left near the canteen by unknown individuals who then fled. The body was taken to the city morgue, and police are reviewing hospital surveillance footage to identify the suspects.
Shooting Incident In the South Cantt area on Tuesday, a man was shot dead and three others were injured during a minor dispute. The deceased, Iqbal, 40, died at the hospital, while one of the injured, Ghulam Mustafa, is in serious condition. The conflict escalated when neighbors returned with weapons after a heated argument.
