Pakistan has successfully conducted a training launch of its surface-to-surface ballistic missile, Shaheen-II, as announced by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The launch, carried out on Tuesday, aimed to train troops, validate technical parameters, and assess the performance of various sub-systems designed to enhance accuracy and survivability.
Senior officers from the Strategic Plans Division, Army Strategic Forces Command, and scientists and engineers from strategic organizations were present to witness the event.
The Director General of the Strategic Plans Division praised the technical expertise and commitment of the scientists and engineers, calling the event a “landmark achievement.”
In a display of national support, President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), and the services chiefs congratulated the team for the successful test.
