On Friday, forty-one Palestinian civilians, ranging in age from eight months to 62 years and injured in the Gaza conflict, were flown to Malaysia for treatment. The patients were transported from Cairo, Egypt, to Malaysia aboard two Malaysian Air Force transport aircraft.
Malaysian Defence Minister Mohamed Khaled Nordin, speaking at a news conference after the arrival of the patients, emphasized that the mission was carried out purely for humanitarian reasons and to express solidarity with the people of Palestine.
“This action reflects our nation’s stance against the inhumane genocide occurring,” Nordin said.
He added that the injured individuals were chosen following a “careful evaluation” to ensure they were fit for the 19-hour flight, which included a stopover in Karachi.
