Poll shows Harris leading or tied with Trump in 6 of 7 key battleground states

A recent poll indicates that U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris is either leading or tied with former President Donald Trump in six out of seven key swing states.

The Cook Political Report Swing State Project shows Harris leading Trump in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, North Carolina, and Arizona, while the two are tied in Georgia. Trump holds a lead in Nevada.

Overall, Harris has a slim advantage with 48% support compared to Trump’s 47%, and 5% of respondents are either undecided or plan not to vote. In Georgia, both Harris and Trump have equal support at 48%.

The poll also reveals that Harris has gained ground since the previous survey conducted in May, when President Joe Biden was the expected Democratic nominee for the November 5 presidential election.

Following Biden’s announcement last month that he was withdrawing from the 2024 race after a disappointing debate performance, Harris officially launched her campaign for the presidency. She has chosen Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate.
