Relief on high electricity bills anticipated soon

Sindh government’s senior minister, Sharjeel Inam Memon, announced that the provincial government is in discussions with federal authorities to tackle the issue of high electricity bills, assuring that the public will soon hear good news.

During a press conference, Sharjeel acknowledged that the rising electricity bills have become a significant problem nationwide, leaving many citizens struggling to afford them.

He emphasized that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is collaborating with the federal government to find a solution, with relief expected for the public in the near future.

Sharjeel also criticized previous governments for discontinuing projects initiated by former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, underscoring that affordable electricity can be generated using Thar coal.

He highlighted Thar’s potential to meet the country’s energy needs, with electricity production costs at Rs11 per unit from Thar and Rs9 per unit from Nooriabad.

Sharjeel assured that the PPP leadership is actively working to steer the country out of crisis and provide much-needed relief to the people.
