Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz took decisive action against the rising crime rate in Mianwali, removing District Police Officer (DPO) Matiullah from his position.
According to reports, the DPO has been instructed to report to the Central Police Office (CPO).
As part of the crackdown, the CM also ordered the elimination of corruption in jails and called for strict action against corrupt officials.
Additionally, CM Maryam Nawaz announced plans to convert tubewells to solar energy for the residents of Mianwali.
Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, the Chief Secretary, RPO, and PML-N ticket holders from Mianwali were also present at the occasion.
