On Tuesday, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif unveiled a new bike scheme for students, emphasizing its rapid implementation.
She directed that the minimum installment for the e-bike project be set at an affordable level. Maryam underlined Punjab’s dedication to leading the way in student support initiatives.
This scheme is the first to offer both e-bikes and petrol bikes to students, aiming to make their daily commutes easier and potentially enhance their academic performance. The program has also been modified to eliminate the need for parental guarantees, particularly benefiting students who lack such support.
The project will also include solar-powered charging stations, along with insurance and warranties for e-bike batteries, ensuring students receive comprehensive assistance.
