Elon Musk denies $45 million monthly contribution to Pro-Trump PAC in interview with Jordan Peterson”

Elon Musk has rejected recent reports suggesting he intends to donate $45 million per month to a political group backing former President Donald Trump.

During an interview with conservative commentator Jordan B. Peterson on Monday, the Tesla CEO, who has previously endorsed Trump, clarified his stance.

“What has been reported in the media is simply not true,” Musk stated. “I am not donating $45 million a month to Trump.”

He reiterated his position on Twitter, saying, “I am making some donations to America PAC, but at a much lower level. The PAC’s key values focus on supporting meritocracy and individual freedom.”

Musk, 53, explained that while he helped establish America PAC to support fundamental American principles, it is not intended to be a highly partisan organization.

“The core principles of America PAC aim to promote the values that originally made America great. I wouldn’t categorize myself as MAGA or Make America Great Again. Instead, I would describe my position as M-A-G, Make America Greater.”

The super PAC, founded in Austin, Texas, in May, has reportedly spent $21 million on independent expenditures aimed at increasing voter turnout, especially in swing states.

Musk stressed that his support for the GOP does not equate to an endorsement of every aspect of the party, nor does he follow a “cult of personality.”

Despite his criticisms, Musk commended Trump for showing “true courage” after surviving a shooting attempt at a Pennsylvania rally earlier this month.

“I believe we need a change in administration,” Musk concluded.
