Imran Khan to remain in jail despite successful legal appeals, reports Fitch

Despite recent legal victories, including the acceptance of appeals in April and June against his conviction in the Iddat case, Imran Khan, incarcerated PTI leader, is expected to remain in prison indefinitely, according to Business Monitor International (BMI), a division of Fitch credit ratings agency. His sentences in two Toshakhana cases were suspended, and he was acquitted in the cipher case by the Islamabad High Court (IHC). Despite these legal developments, Khan and his spouse were re-arrested by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in a new Toshakhana case shortly after their acquittal in the Iddat case, keeping his release uncertain.
