Hamas raises concerns over truce talks following deadly Israeli airstrike

Palestinian officials have reported that an Israeli airstrike in the southern Gaza Strip has resulted in the deaths of more than two dozen people. Additionally, advancing tanks in Gaza City have forced residents to flee under fire. This escalation of violence by Israel has raised concerns about the ongoing ceasefire talks, with Hamas warning that the talks could be jeopardized. The airstrike targeted the tents of displaced families outside a school in the town of Abassan, east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza. Palestinian medical officials have confirmed that at least 29 people were killed in the attack, the majority of whom were women and children. The Israeli military has stated that it is reviewing reports of civilian casualties from the airstrike, claiming that it targeted a Hamas fighter involved in a previous raid on Israel. Hamas officials have reported that Israeli strikes in central Gaza have resulted in the deaths of 60 Palestinians and numerous injuries. Israeli tanks advancing into the Tel Al-Hawa, Shejaia, and Sabra neighborhoods of Gaza City have shelled roads and buildings, leading residents to flee their homes. Israeli military orders to evacuate several districts in eastern and western Gaza City have been posted on social media. The situation has drawn international attention, with European officials and the international community closely monitoring the events. The ongoing discussions and concerns surrounding foreign policy, international relations, and the delicate nature of truce talks in the region are highlighted by these recent developments.
