Saudi Arabia has authorized the granting of citizenship to international experts as part of Vision 2030

Saudi Arabia has authorized the granting of Saudi citizenship to scientists, doctors, researchers, entrepreneurs, and other individuals possessing rare skills, experience, and specialized knowledge.

As per a royal decree, the kingdom has extended citizenship to talented individuals in fields such as medicine, science, culture, sports, and technology, as part of its Vision 2030 program aimed at fostering an environment conducive to investing in human capital and attracting skilled labor.

This initiative is anticipated to strengthen Saudi Arabia’s economic, healthcare, cultural, sports, and innovation sectors by attracting leading experts and specialists.

In December 2021, Saudi leadership approved a similar initiative, offering citizenship to distinguished figures in these sectors, underscoring the kingdom’s commitment to advancing development across diverse domains through global expertise.

In November 2023, Pakistan entered into agreements with Saudi companies to enhance cooperation and facilitate the employment of Pakistani workers and professionals for major projects in Saudi Arabia.

These agreements included plans to establish training and orientation centers in Pakistan, focusing on skill development aligned with Saudi Arabia’s labor market requirements.
