Mohsin Naqvi, Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), has affirmed that Shan Masood will continue to lead the team during the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh.
Naqvi mentioned that he recently had a video call with Masood to discuss team improvements, as Masood is currently engaged in county cricket in London, making an in-person meeting unfeasible. “There’s no plan to replace Shan Masood as captain,” Naqvi confirmed.
He highlighted positive feedback on Masood’s leadership and noted the absence of any negative reports. The PCB has confirmed Multan, Karachi, and Rawalpindi as the venues for the Test series against Bangladesh, with official dates and schedules to be announced soon.
Regarding the 2025 Champions Trophy, Naqvi assured that matches involving the Indian team and others will take place in Pakistan. The proposed schedule has been submitted to the ICC, with efforts underway to ensure the event’s success.
