Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif vowed to eliminate Pakistan’s enemies at the funeral of Captain Muhammad Faraz Ilyas, martyred in a terrorist attack in Lakki Marwat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. An IED explosion had killed seven soldiers, including Captain Ilyas, whose native village will be transformed into “Faraz Ilyas Shaheed” in his honor. The funeral, attended by officials and residents, saw the PM express condolences to the captain’s family and promise that his sacrifice would not be in vain. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and President Asif Ali Zardari also condemned the attack and paid tribute to the fallen soldiers.
