On Sunday in Rangpur town near Muzaffargarh, a man reportedly killed his 22-year-old wife, Amna Mai, in a case of domestic violence, as stated by Rangpur police.
Following the incident, the police filed a case against the perpetrator and transferred the deceased’s body to the hospital for a postmortem examination. Although the accused fled the scene after shooting his wife, authorities assure that he will soon be apprehended.
Meanwhile, the Layyah police successfully apprehended a gang of thieves on Sunday and seized six stolen vehicles estimated to be worth Rs20 million. The operation, led by SHO Irfan Iftikhar of Model City Police, resulted in the recovery of three cars, a Hilux luxury vehicle, a high-roof van, and other valuable items.
District Police Officer Asadul Rehman of Layyah oversaw the return of the recovered vehicles to their rightful owners.
