Services exports rose by 16.59% year-on-year in April, marking the third consecutive month of growth after four months of decline, as per data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics on Tuesday.
Exports reached $646.03 million, up from $554.10 million in the same month last year. However, on a month-on-month basis, services exports saw a decline of 7.57%.
In rupee terms, services exports grew by 13.81% in April, reaching Rs179.68 billion compared to Rs157.88 billion in the corresponding month last year.
For the first ten months of FY24, services exports increased by 1.18% to $6.44 billion from $6.36 billion in the same period of the previous fiscal year. In rupee terms, there was a significant increase of 19.44%, reaching Rs1.82 trillion compared to Rs1.53 trillion in 10MFY23.
