The ruling BJP led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is ahead in the early results. BJP is leading on 237 seats. BJP will not be able to win a simple majority at its own. A party need’s 272 seats to form the government with simple majority. In 2019 Elections BJP won 303 seats. But BJP with the help of its allies will be able to form the government.
Surprisingly, opposition alliance lead by congress performed better then expected. The opposition alliance is leading on 220 seats. Congress alone is leading on 100 seats. The SamajWadi party is also performing well in Uttar Pradesh.
