The Election Tribunal, led by Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri, has instructed the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), successful candidates, and returning officers to provide details of Form 45, witness lists, and affidavits concerning alleged rigging in three Islamabad constituencies.
Justice Jahangiri emphasized that if the returning officers do not appear in court, either personally or through legal representation, arrest warrants will be issued. He highlighted the gravity of statements made under oath, affirming that such statements would be sworn on the Quran.
Expressing dissatisfaction with the parties’ failure to submit responses, Justice Jahangiri suggested that Form 45 might undergo forensic examination, either domestically or internationally.
