Vision for every village: A school and hospital in reach


Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif inaugurated two field hospitals on Wednesday, one in Bahawalpur and another in Lahore. Following the Lahore inauguration, she visited Abbas Nagar in Bahawalpur to open the second facility. There, she inspected the mobile health unit, which included an ultrasound room, pharmacy, and laboratory.

During her visit, she accepted an invitation to the home of a villager, Jamshed Arshad, where she reiterated her commitment to the progress of every village in Punjab. She emphasized the importance of having a school, hospital, well-maintained roads, and a clean environment in every village.

CM Maryam Nawaz also inaugurated a 26km road project from Ahmadpur to Jhangra Sharqi.

Additionally, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor Haji Ghulam Ali discussed matters related to enhancing inter-provincial coordination and cooperation in various fields during a meeting.

In a statement commemorating International Labour Day, the chief minister expressed the government’s strong commitment to improving the quality of life and ensuring prosperity for labourers. She emphasized the importance of providing fair wages, protection, and respect to labourers and pledged to enforce the Occupational Safety Act for their benefit.
