Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur stated on Wednesday that he was part of the committee appointed by detained PTI founder Imran Khan to engage in discussions with the security establishment.
“We will maintain transparency in our negotiations with the establishment,” Mr. Gandapur told reporters after attending a Labour Day event at a hotel.
The chief minister mentioned that former Prime Minister Imran Khan had authorized the party to conduct talks with the establishment, and he was involved in the dialogue process.
He expressed satisfaction with JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s acknowledgment of election rigging.
Mr. Gandapur stated that since Maulana Fazl had been part of nearly every government, he would likely reveal more political insights.
He emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability in government actions and pledged to protect the rights of laborers and implement effective mechanisms to ensure fair wages and financial transactions.
The chief minister also announced increased assistance packages for laborers and emphasized the government’s commitment to facilitating investors and promoting economic growth through initiatives like providing locally produced electricity to industries at lower rates.
