The Islamabad High Court administration has requested suggestions from both IHC and subordinate judiciary judges by April 25th to address concerns of alleged interference by intelligence agencies in judicial affairs. This move follows a Supreme Court directive issued during suo motu proceedings initiated in response to a letter from six IHC judges. The SC instructed various legal bodies and the federal government to propose institutional responses and mechanisms to prevent such issues from recurring in the future. The IHC registrar’s office has set the deadline for judge’s proposals, with a consolidated report to be submitted to the SC thereafter. In the initial letter, the six judges hinted at potential involvement of ISI in judicial matters.
