As heavy rains persist, seven more fatalities have been reported in Balochistan due to accidents, adding to the toll of 17 deaths and 15 injuries across the province. In a separate incident, eight individuals lost their lives in Azad Kashmir as rainfall continued in various areas. The latest deaths in Balochistan occurred in Chaman, where flash floods swept away a car carrying six people, including four women and two children. The downpour has caused extensive damage to infrastructure, including roads and railway tracks, disrupting transit trade with Afghanistan. Moreover, urban flooding has paralyzed life in Chaman, forcing residents to seek shelter elsewhere. Similar devastation has been observed in various other regions, including Ormara, Pasni, and Ziarat, as heavy rains persist. Additionally, in Azad Kashmir, a coach veered off a slippery road, resulting in seven fatalities and numerous injuries, while another person died in a landslide along the Muzaffarabad-Mansehra road.
