Number of voters exceeds 130 Million as Gender gap remains below 10 million

The latest statistics from the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) show that the number of registered voters in Pakistan has surpassed 130 million, with a gender gap of less than 10 million. The total number of voters has increased by over 2 million since December 2023.

Out of the registered voters, more than 60 million are women (46.18%) and a little over 70 million are men (53.82%). The gender gap of 9.95 million is mainly contributed by Punjab, followed by Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan.

Punjab has the highest difference between male and female voters, with over 5 million more men registered. Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan also have significant gender gaps in voter registration.

In terms of age groups, there are 58.12 million voters between 18 and 35 years old, with 24.66 million in the 18-25 age group and 33.46 million in the 26-35 age group. Another 28.83 million voters are between 36 and 45 years old, meaning that 66.88% of the total voters are below 45 years old.
