Court extends Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi’s bail till feb 25.

Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), and his wife, Bushra Bibi, have been granted temporary release by the Islamabad District and Sessions Court till February 25 in a matter involving protests.

Six lawsuits against the former prime minister and one against Bushra Bibi were given extensions by the court. Bushra Bibi, who is currently incarcerated at Adiala Jail, was not required to appear in court. Attorneys were told by Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka to make their cases in the following hearing.

Several police stations, including Kohsar, Ramna, Tarnol, Karachi Company, and Secretariat, have the cases on file.

In a separate case, Imran Khan accused the superintendent of Adiala Jail of breaking a court order that allowed him to meet with Bushra Bibi and filed a contempt plea against him in the Islamabad High Court (IHC). His attorney, Faisal Chaudhry, filed the appeal, alleging that the authorities refused to grant access even though a meeting was set.

Judge Nasir Javed Rana of the Rawalpindi accountability court earlier condemned Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in the Al-Qadir Trust case, which is also referred to as the £190 million case. Additionally, the court fined Bushra Bibi Rs 500,000 and Imran Khan Rs 1 million.
