Ali Amin Gandapur, the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has been granted protective bail by the Peshawar High Court till March 5.
A bench consisting of Justice Salahuddin and Justice Sahibzada Asadullah conducted the hearing. Gandapur himself was not there, but the Advocate General and the petitioner’s attorney were.
The judge underlined that the law requires him to appear in person. The court stated, “The petitioner must appear in person for the protective bail request, but we will adjourn the hearing.”
The judge then delayed further proceedings and granted protected bail until March 5.
