Bushra alleges a violation of her fundamental rights

Bushra Bibi, the wife of former prime minister Imran Khan, filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court alleging violations of her fundamental rights during her time at the Banigala sub-jail. She claimed she was poisoned and psychologically tortured, suffering from heartburn and other ailments. Bushra Bibi also expressed discomfort with the male-dominated staff and surveillance in her room. She requested to be moved to Adiala Jail, sought privacy protection, and asked for a medical check-up at Shaukat Khanam Memorial Hospital. Meanwhile, in the Iddat case, arguments continued regarding the conviction of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi. The complainant’s counsel was accused of delaying tactics, while the defense sought to conclude the arguments swiftly. The court adjourned the hearing until April 24 due to workload.
